Anyone who is a member of one of the major political parties is too tied into the system to really give the government back to the people.

Anyone who knows me either personally or through this blog would quickly point out that I love this country, which is why I think it can be even better than what the Dems and Reps offer us. Even under the Bush administration, I would have to say that the US was still one of, if not the best, place to live on Earth...and I wouldn't give up my country, even though some on the Right would consider me a traitor to the nation because of my beliefs...and even some on the Left would say the same thing because I don't think the Dems are as great as they'd like us to be.

The reason a third party is tough to get into power in this country is because everything is stacked against them. As I pointed out in the blog, they have trouble getting onto ballots (because of laws passed by the Dems and the Reps) and they have trouble getting media coverage...and that's because the media have a vested interest in keeping the two powers in power.

My use of the word loser was not meant to be derogatory (as in a big L on every American's head), but rather to point out that there should be better options for We the People, and until there are, we all lose...J Alan Erwinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07961944518711473445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16939453.post-13974582290498459472008-11-05T13:46:00.000-07:002008-11-05T13:46:00.000-07:00YES, we have a lot of problems in this Capitalisti...YES, we have a lot of problems in this Capitalistic/Consumer driven country, BUT let's MOVE ON!!! I have lived in other countries, and believe me, we are blessed! We are not losers, we are driven changers. Despite our obvious problems, we are still a great and mighty nation. Obama's win is in the right direction. NO, he won't solve all or most or maybe not even many of our problems, but his heart is rightly directed. WE have to help him, he can't do it alone!!!!! For too long we've had the same old thing with the same old type of people, let's rejoice in something new! We need change, and we need it now. It's good to give someone else a chance. A third party is hard to run because in our country the majority rules, as you've seen last night! We are a democratic society!!! Thank God we are not a dictatorship! My parents have lived under one and it was horrible fear all the time, with no rights at all. THANK God you are an American and have the right to blog your voice freely. Don't take for granted what we do have, and that is freedom! Americans seem never satisfied in what they do have. We must be thankful for what we do have!!! The only loser is that which you choose to see in the mirror. You have what you say, so think positive and think of what YOU can do to make your world and those around you better. The answer IS in the mirror, and it's YOU!!!!

Sincerely, Sabah Liviknysovich
(formerly of Bosnia, now a proud American Citizen who voted for President Obama!!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
